Day 2

Grandma and Grandpa are here!

Their favorite piece of driftwood!  Grandma and Grandpa brought it back from last year!

Helping Grandma and Grandpa set up camp

Adam playing in his "tank"

Showing Grandpa his rocks

We all slept in until almost 8:30.  The following mornings Jared and I were up around 6:30. We must have been tired! Adam went with Daddy to take Norman for a walk.  Jacob, Eli, and Adam then took a ride around the small loop,  Eli on his scooter.  Then Jacob and I went for a bike ride.  Jared and I took a walk around the campground while Adam and Eli rode scooters. Jacob stayed to relax in the hammock.  Then we relaxed and did some knitting.  We're knitting a simple dishcloth pattern.  Jacob went to fish in Lake Fanny Hooe and we sat by him.  Then Jacob and Adam took a bike ride around the campground and found some firewood.  After lunch we went to Pebble beach. The breeze felt so nice while sitting on the beach. Jacob and Eli found some nice rocks. Eli came to show us his rocks and said "but they're not for sale." Adam tried to build a rock bridge into the lake by pushing the rocks down the hill with his feet.  We sat on the beach for a couple hours and found some pretty rocks and some small agates.  Jacob and Eli loved looking for rocks. Adam made a "tank" with some drift wood and rocks. Around 3:00 we headed into town to see Dennis and Leslie. Grandma and Grandpa were there! We stopped at the store for pops on our way back to camp.  We helped Grandma and Grandpa set up their tent and dining fly.  For dinner we cooked hot dogs over the fire. The boys had fun playing with Grandma's sidewalk chalk. After dinner we took a walk around the campground with Grandma and Grandpa. Eli rode his scooter and the older boys rode their bikes.  Every evening except one rainy night Grandma and Grandpa joined us by the fire and we had s'mores.  The boys got good at getting everything ready that we needed for s'mores and serving us.  They know that Grandpa likes one raw marshmallow and Grandma likes her s'more without chocolate.  Jacob and Adam went down to the dock to do a little fishing this evening. We got to bed most nights around 10 -10:30.

How can it be a s'more if there is no chocolate? I think it is just a more.
