Day 10

Showing Eli the broken bearing in his wheel

Great Sand Bay

Hauling drift wood

We were all up before 7am. The boys rode bikes around with their friend Tommy while waiting for Eli to wake up.  After breakfast they rode bikes again until Tommy had to leave.  We took a walk around the campground with Grandma.  Eli's bearings broke on the rear wheel of his scooter. We took another walk around while Eli rode his bike.  Then we packed a lunch and headed to Great Sand bay.  It was about 70 degrees and felt cool but it warmed up when the sun came out. Jacob and Adam brought their driftwood so they could play with it in the water.  Jacob found another nice piece of driftwood on the beach. We stayed for almost 3 hrs and Jacob played in the water the whole time. He had some rope and anchored the driftwood to the rocks. He also found some moths and put them on the wood. Adam and Eli played for a long time on the sandhill. Then Adam went out in the water to play with Jacob. Eli went out in the water but got cold so I took him to get into some dry clothes. We found some nice firewood on the beach and brought it back with us. We saw a several bald eagles on our drive back to camp. Back at camp Jared and I relaxed in the hammock. The boys played with the games until dinner was ready. After dinner we went for a walk with Grandma around the campground. Eli rode his bike. Adam and Jacob played in the woods by the lake. Eli went to play with them for awhile when we got back from our walk. The boys played in the dining fly while we sat by the fire with Grandma and Grandpa. We were in bed around 10:30.
