Adam was up soon after us this morning. Grandma came to visit with us while we waited for our coffee. Adam and I went on a bike ride. He wanted to show me a trail leading to a "secret fort" by the playground. When we got back to camp Jacob was awake and soon Eli was awake too. After breakfast we went for a walk with Grandma. Adam and Eli rode bikes. Jacob stayed to work on cleaning his copper. He came to meet us on our walk so he could show us some copper. At around 10:00 we headed out to hike the monastery trails with Grandma and Grandpa. We were hiking towards a pond when Jared spotted a Great Blue Heron. Jared called the boys back so they could see it. And we didn't want to spook the bird before Grandpa could get a picture. I got a nice picture too. It wasn't until Adam was a few feet from it that we noticed it was a fake bird. Hahaha! We brought our hammock so we could get some more pictures. We set the hammock by Jacob's creek and took some nice pictures there. Jacob thought he should be the model since its Jacob's creek. He was really disappointed when he dropped his shoe in the water. We found a bag for him to wear inside his shoe because he really doesn't like to have wet socks. It was a fun hike. We left around 1:00 and ate a packed lunch on our way to the Great Sand bay. It was really windy on the beach and the waves were huge. The boys and Daddy had so much fun playing in the wave. Eli stayed on the beach and played in the sand. After a couple hours we left and headed to see Leslie. Grandma was there too. We stopped for pops on our way back to camp. Jacob got back to cleaning his copper while Adam and Eli played across the road. After dinner we took a walk with Grandma around the campground and Eli rode his bike. Adam and Jacob took a bike ride. Then Eli practiced riding his bike without training wheels. He was confident and said, "I can do this." He was really excited that he did it (a little ways) without daddy holding on. Grandma and Grandpa watched Norman while we took a bike ride with the boys around the campground. Then we sat by the fire. Jacob worked on his rocks. Adam did some whittling and Eli did some drawing. Adam backed into a piece of wood and his heel was bleeding so we put a bandaid on it. It was warm and windy tonight.
