Reading the bible

We tagged, castrated and tail docked the lambs today.  Then we let the ewe's and their lambs out of the stalls (except the triplets).  We noticed that Ewe 82 was butting heads with the other ewes.  Later we came out and saw her lamb try to nurse but she wouldn't let it.  She'd forgotten her lamb.  We put them back in the stall and held her so the lamb could nurse.  We put vicks vapor rub on her nose and the lambs rear.  We also brought Norman into the stall.  She got really protective of the lamb but still wouldn't let it nurse.  So when we come out for sheep checks we will would hold her to see if the lamb wants to nurse.  Hopefully she'll soon remember.
