Cable plied yarn from Maude
Waving to his brothers and Nik
Ewe #33 and her twins
Jared stayed home from work today. Its a good thing because my days are really off and I thought it was Wednesday. I would have headed to Eli’s school if Jared wouldn’t have reminded me, haha. Today I spun our 2ply skeins into for 4 ply using a cable ply. They look very nice and I can’t wait to knit with them. The boys walked home from the bus with Nik today. Nik came over and the kids had fun playing for about an hour in the water and on the playground. Then they went to Nik’s house for an hour and played outside there. While they were gone we went to the barn to check on the sheep. Ewe #33 had just lambed and the lamb was trying to nurse. We could tell there was another lamb coming. We moved them into the stall. Soon out came the second lamb, sac, placenta and all. Both lambs are doing very well. She had a girl (13 lbs 9 oz) and a boy (10 lbs 8 lbs). This evening we watched Air Buds Spikes Back. After the boys were in bed we went to the barn to check on the sheep. Ewe #82 was laboring hard. She was lying down to push and being very loud. We checked her and found this large lambs elbows were stuck. After extending the legs I helped her deliver the lamb. Its a large single boy weighing 14 lbs. He is doing very well.
