Day 5

Good boy Norman

Leslie and Jacob

Daddy drew this boy riding a scooter

Jared and I were up around 7am.  Soon after that Jacob was up and came to sit by us.  Adam and Eli slept until around 8:30.  It was a cloudy, cool day.  After pancakes we took a walk around the campground.  Jacob took a couple laps on his bike but Adam and Eli stayed by us on their scooters.  When we got back Adam asked if we could take a bike ride with just him.  Grandma watched the other boys and Norman while we went for a bike ride.  The boys had fun with sidewalk chalk at Grandma.  We walked over to Pebble beach and hiked along the shore.  Then we hiked the trails over to the east campground.  Eli found three feathers and gave one to each of his brothers.  We stopped at the fort playground and the boys play there for a little while.  Grandma and Grandpa were there too.  After a while we headed back to camp for lunch.  This afternoon we went to town and dropped Jacob off at the shop with Leslie. He got to spend a few hours there with her and a couple other little girls his age.  They got to create art with clay.  We took Adam and Eli to play at the school playground for about an hour and then headed back to camp.  Daddy and the boys took a bike ride and then played with the sidewalk chalk.  Around 3:30 we went to town to pick up Jacob.  He really enjoyed his time there. Thank you Leslie!!!  Back at camp Daddy got a fire ready for our hobo dinners.  Daddy and Jacob played some catch with Grandma's ball scoops. Adam played some too. Eli rode his scooter.  We took a walk around the campground after dinner.  Sat by the fire with Grandma and Grandpa this evening.  Grandpa was showing the boys how he makes his hands disappear (in his sleeves).  Then he had Jacob count his fingers, folded them and had him count again, only 9!  The boys had fun doing this trick.  Then Eli tried it and said, "It didn't work."  We made smores.
