9 year old!
We were up around 7:30am. Jacob had a hard time getting to sleep last night because he was excited and the frogs were really loud. He slept in until around 8:30. We had a bunch of green balloons on the floor in the living room. Then we pushed them all in the hallway to run through again. Yesterday Jacob set up his army men how he wanted them on his cake and had me take a picture. Daddy made maps for Jacob to find his presents but Jacob didn’t want any clues on them. He said, “I know my house.” After all the presents were found he sat down to open them. He opened a Case tiny trapper pocketknife, a tackle box, some mechanical pencils and lead, drawing markers, paracord lanyards and bracelets, tic tacs, gum, and a micro flashlight. Around 11:00 we headed to the wooden park to play. We ordered pizza and at lunch at the park. Then we went to another nearby park to fish in the lake. Adam caught a small catfish. Jacob put on his gloves and took it off the hook. Adam held it too and then let it go. Then the boys spent the next couple hours swimming in the lake. We brought the inflatable boat and they had so much fun playing with that. From there we headed to McDonalds for ice cream. The boys played in the play area for awhile. We got home around 5 pm. We watched A team and had pizza for dinner. After dinner we sang to the birthday boy and had cake and ice cream. It was a great day celebrating with our 9 year old!
