Adam woke up around 6:30am. He crawled in our bed and said, “I saw all those white balloons and my birthday sign.” The boys ran out through all the white balloons. Jacob had helped us blow up about 50 of them. Adam liked seeing his A team van cake which he had requested. He had asked us to hide his presents and wanted to use maps to find them. Daddy had one written clue on each map. The boys had fun finding all the presents. Jacob handed Adam his first present to open, a my first Victorinox pocketknife with a saw. Adam got some tic tacs from Eli and gladly shared with his brothers. Jacob gave Adam some pez dispenser refills. Adam also got a 4 pack of gum and gave one pack to each of his brothers. He also opened a lego battery powered radio, rocket water launcher, some parachord lanyards and bracelets, a matchbox car, white duck tape, and a micro flashlight. Adam went outside to saw wood with his pocketknife. He said, “I’m definately taking this knife to Copper Harbor!” The boys made a batmobile from the couch cushions and played for awhile before church. Adam was excited to pick out of the treasure box at church. Mr Peter (Jacob’s teacher) came to us after church and said, “I just wanted you to know that Jacob is one of the most polite kids we have.” Adam wanted to go to the wooden park after church so we headed there and played for a couple hours. Adam found a friend from school to play with. We picked up pizza to eat for lunch. From there we headed to the rail trail to go for a bike ride. The other day Adam had me write a list of the things he wanted to do on his birthday. We rode our bikes to the playground and played there for awhile. Adam pretended to be selling ice cream cones and Eli was his doggie. Adam let Jacob use his knife and he widdled some wood. Around 2:30 we headed to Adam’s soccer game. He handed out blow pops and bubble gum to his team after the game. At home Adam wanted to have cake and ice cream before dinner so we did. Nik came over for an hour and ate with us. We watched an A team. Then we went outside and had a water fight - burr. Then Adam wanted to go in the “warm” water behind the house. This evening we watched another A team and I made cupcakes for Adam’s class tomorrow. It was a fun day celebrating with our 7 year old!
