Yesterday Jared noticed that our neighbor had cut a hole in our fence to clear leaves away from the pipe that goes under his driveway. We were not very happy about him cutting our fence. Jared went to their house several times to try and talk to them but they weren't home. So he left a note taped to the fence, saying not to cut the fence and next time we'd call the sheriff. Anyway our neighbor (who's driveway runs along the back of our property) ended up coming to our house to talk to Jared. He thought the note was pretty harsh but Jared reminded him that he cut OUR fence! The man said, "well really its both of our fence." So Jared said, "well, then you owe us some money". Anyway the man apologized and asked if he could take down the sign, before his wife saw it. Jared didn't want him to touch the fence but said we'd take it down. Jared also let him know that if he came to us we'd be more than happy to clear away any leaves blocking his pipe. The man did come back again later and offered to pay for the damage. Jared told him that wasn't necessary. The man apologized again, they shook hands and all is good now. After the boys were in bed I went out to give the lamb a bottle and Jared drove to the neighbors to take down the sign. The boys thought we were leaving. Adam came running outside and was crying:( I was coming back inside when I saw him. Inside Jacob was helping Eli get his shoes on. I comforted the boys, told them what we were doing, and tucked them back in bed.

Woo...good fences make good neighbors. Guess the neighbor didn't get it. I remember last spring when we were out in the pasture that there was a neighbor thing I think with a post at that same place. Keep trucking JB.
