Eating Grandpa's poptarts - grrrr
Grandma brought some material and Jacob sewed a bag for his teacher.
Adam asked me to tell Grandma that he's interested in sewing too.
We melted beeswax to coat these frames.
Kenzie holding the last lamb born (who we are keeping)
It was such a beautiful day to play outside. Kenzie helped the boys work on their teepee.
We found 3 snakes!
This morning Grandma noticed a small lamb lying down while the others were up and about or eating. Kenzie caught her and we saw that she had white scours, a very serious infection caused by E-coli. Dehydration, coma, and death usually occur within 12-24 hrs following the onset of clinical signs of this scours. We noticed that her brother also had it. Jared went to town for spectinomycin, Pepto-Bismol, and electrolytes. While he was gone Kenzie and I gave both lambs a bath and blow dried them. We put the mom and these lambs in a stall. They will get the antibiotic twice a day. We also tubed them with Pepto and electrolytes every 4 hrs. Grandma took care of our little bottle lamb (#22) during the day, feeding her every 4hrs:)
