The kids had fun making these Christmas trees

I started feeling sick during the night and didn't sleep much. In the morning I took some medicine and was feeling a little better. Around 8:30 we headed to my parents house to celebrate Christmas. Dad read the Christmas story and the kids added their piece(s) to set up the nativity. Then the kids did their gift exchange. Jacob jumped up when he opened his lego crane set and said, "YES I love this! This is a wish come true!" Adam loves his lego set too and also got a huge peanut butter cup. Eli got a really cool stackable blocks set. Then the kids (youngest to oldest) took turns opening their gifts from Nana and Papa. They each got money, clothes, and activity placemats. Eli also got Vtech Dino, and a neat bug cage. Adam got a snow globe (his picture inside), a nerf gun, and a stomp rocket. Jacob got a rc helicopter and said, "This is a dream come true too!" I was really feeling sick now. From my parents I got a headlamp, Tim Horton's gift card, and a scoop cutting board. Jared got a gift card to Home Depot. Melissa surprised us (Vikki and I) with a cd of our favorite record we listed to when we were young, Music Machine. Thank you Mel!!! After all the gifts were opened I went to find a bed to lay in. Kenzie wasn't feeling well either and came to lay in there too. After this I don't remember much except hearing happy kids playing. Jacob came in several times to show me videos of him flying his new helicopter which he was very excited about. Adam and Eli also came in several times. Eli would come into bed to lay between Kenzie and I sometimes. This evening the boys played bells at church. Nana and Papa also came to watch them play. The boys were so excited to see us and waved as they walked up to the front of church.

It was a wonderful Christmas other than you being sick. Sure missed having you out with us. Loved hearing the boys play the bells at church. Especially loved how they waved to us. So special and sweet.

We have the Music Machine cd, too! It was one of my favorites growing up and now the boys love it!
