New lawn mower

Soon after I got home from school Jared left to go get our new lawn mower from Darren.  He used Darren's trailer to bring it home.  After returning the trailer he had to go into work.  I made handles and trimmed mugs today.  Jared got home around 2:00 and helped me finish my handles.  Jacob had a 4:00 dentist appointment.  Jared dropped Adam, Eli and I off at Nana and Papa's house.  Vikki and the kids were there.  Jacob just chipped part of a filing and the dentist was able to fix it today without any numbing.  We helped Nana and Papa get their outdoor stuff put away for winter.  We were going to do our pumpkins this evening but Jacob had too much homework to do.  Eli and I played a game of 3-13 and I won.  I had -77 and Eli had 119.  The middle school had a positive Covid case of an 8th grader.  Adam said there are alot of kids missing from the 8th grade band because the kid plays the trumpet. His mom is a teacher at the elementary so there are some in quarantine there too.

Jared worked from home today.  Our car needs a new starter and it should be ready to pick up tomorrow sometime.  I made some mugs.  Jacob worked on school work until past his bedtime.  Jared took Adam to soccer practice.  It was cold and rainy.  Adam was the only one in shorts and a t-shirt.  All the others were bundled up.  Jared hurt his back during our soccer game yesterday and he is moving slow today.  Eli and I went outside to kick the soccer ball around.  He called Dob and she came running up to the fence.

After church we played a game of soccer with the boys.  Adam and Jacob won 14-7.  We went to town to get groceries and pizza for lunch.  As I was checking out I dropped a spaghetti jar and it broke.  What a mess.  It was embarrassing.  I apologized and the cashier was so nice.  She found someone to go get me another jar.  After lunch the boys played minecraft with Nik.  We played some more soccer with the boys.  We played several short games, switching teams.  Jacob and Adam had fun getting to play goalie.  This evening we had popcorn pop and ice cream and watched Duck Dynasty and Full House. Jacob came in 2nd place in his age group for yesterday's race.  He ran it in 25 min 37 seconds.  He won 14th place overall out of 124.

We went out for our Saturday goodies.  Wyatt was happy because he got two timbits at Tim Horton's.  He gets so excited when we pull into the drive thru.  As soon as we got home we had to leave to take Jacob to school for the trick or trot race.  The race was a staggered race and started at 10:00.  Jacob was finished around 10:30.  He ate a banana and drank some water.  We stayed for awhile but then had to leave to get to Eli's soccer game.  Jacob and Adam sat in the van and read.  Eli's team played really hard.  They lost 5-1.  When we got back to the van Jacob looked pale and said he was feeling sick.  He was nauseous and had a bad headache.  At home we gave him some ibuprofen.  He took a long nap on the couch.  Adam had a 4:00 soccer game.  Jacob and Eli stayed home.  Adam played center defense for the first half of the game.  When the team has a good lead in the score the couch will let them play other positions.  Adam played center offense for a little while and had two really good shots on goal.  He played midfield briefly and then was put back on defense.  They scored just as he was being switched.  A small kid ran hard into Adam but Adam didn't budge.  The kid flew back to the ground.  We heard the other coach ask that kid what it felt like running into a brick wall.  Then the coach told him to watch out for the high school senior (talking about Adam).  Adam thought that was funny.  Adam's team won 8-1. We stopped at McDonalds to get Adam a McFlurry.  Jacob was feeling better when we got home.  He said Wyatt laid on him almost the whole time we were gone.  After dinner the boys played minecraft with Nik.  Then they gave us our minecraft tour.  Eli was really sad that he had died and lost all the items he was carrying.  While he was giving us his tour Jacob and Adam worked on a huge minecraft surprise for Eli.  They made a cool tree and around it were several shulker boxes.  Eli opened each one and they were fill with tons of awesome minecraft items.  He was so so happy.

The boys were off school today and were up early to watch tv.  I took Jared to work.  It was a rainy day today.  I spent a lot of the day taking pottery photos to post on etsy.  The boys were a big help and measured all the pottery pieces.  Jared had our car towed to the auto shop.   They will be looking at it on Monday.  We got all the way back home and Jared realized he had forgot to leave the car keys at the auto shop.  We had to take Jacob to school for the football game and then headed back to the shop.

It was rainy this morning. After getting home from school Peyton and Isaac took turns reading with me .  We had fun reading the book, You Read to Me, I'll Read to You.  We practiced spelling words many times today.  The kids helped me cut up a bunch of green peppers from our garden.  We cut them up for Vikki's freezer.  The kids had a lot of fun playing on the big round bales in the barn.  This afternoon they played with playdoh and also played minecraft.  I unloaded the kiln and sent Jared some pictures. He was having a rough day.  His car wouldn't start and its not the battery.  He also forgot his lunch so only had a couple old apples to eat.  He had to hitch a ride to another site.  Vikki got here just before we had to leave to get the boys.  She rode with us to pick them up from school.  We had a nice visit until it was time to head to Adam's soccer practice.  Jared met us at the park.  He walked there from work which is close to the park. After practice we stopped at the store and the boys picked out some candy. Jacob picked out sweet tarts.  He bit down on one and chipped a back tooth.
