 I trimmed mugs and lids and then worked on making bead necklaces and bracelets for Kenzie and Peyton. This evening we went to Melissa and Bruces house trick or treating around their neighborhood.   Eli went as a hippie (Peyton and Kenzie too) and Adam said he was a college kid (haha). Adam didn't go trick or treating.  The kids had a great time.  It snowed while we were out walking.  The boys went back out to do some more trick or treating after we got back.  We had warm chili and there was also cider and coffee.  

10/30/23

 I made plates and lidded mugs on the wheel today.  I left the mess out so Jared could make some plates too when he go home.  After picking the boys up from school we stopped at some thrift stores so Eli could look for some hippie clothes.  He wants to dress up as a hippie for halloween.  We found him a button up shirt and some bell bottom pants.  The pants are big so I will have to sew them.  We also went to Joann Fabrics and got a some crazy ribbon for a headband and some thread and beads to make necklaces and bracelets.  When we got home I got to sewing Eli's pants.  Eli worked on making his first necklace.  He spilled beads all over the floor in his bedroom.  I helped him clean them up.  He said when he goes to college he's going to dump beads all over his floor.  Oh boy!  I think that would be worse than pennies!  After dinner Jared and I worked on making necklaces and Eli made a bunch of bracelets.  He is excited about his costume this year!  Adam started a new minecraft server for us all to play on together.  He was having fun joking around with his friends.

 We went shopping after church and picked up pizza for lunch.  After lunch we went outside to work.  I turned the potatoes.  We finished building the lid for our trash can root cellar.  Then I worked on laying the bricks.  Eli chopped down the corn stalks in the garden. Jared worked on tilling the garden.  I raked leaves.  The boys took the recycling down to the end of our road.  This evening we watched Mighty ducks 3 and had popcorn pop and ice cream.  

10/27/23

 We slept in this morning.  Adam stayed up late and was still sleeping when we left to get Sat goodies.  We were meeting Vikki at Mom's to get Eli. She was around the corner at an estate sale. We drove there because she had some things that wouldn't fit in her car.  Then we drove to her house to drop the stuff off.  We headed to Eli's soccer game, getting there at 1:30.  Eli's team won!  They went undefeated this season and got trophies.  Their coach also got them sweatshirts.  This afternoon we worked on digging up the onions and potatoes from the garden.  Then we started building a root cellar trash can.
