I stayed up late last night so it felt nice to sleep in this morning. I enjoyed drinking my coffee while watching the birds. I saw a bunch of finches, some orioles, and the rose breasted grosbeak. The Bluejays were here too. I spent much of the day outside working in the flower beds. I mowed the lawn until I ran out of gas. There was a snake eating a toad. I saved the toad. I just couldn't stand seeing it trying so hard to get away. Eli was happy I saved it. Poor snake will have to find another victim. Oh well. When Jared got home we went to my parents house. Dad was working on taking out the lilac bush so we helped him finish what was left. He sure had done a lot. We trimmed the cute tree next to it too and then trimmed Mom's weeping tree. There were a lot of dead branches to trim. We really did a number on it. It needed that because it was growing into the siding of the house. Eli went to "water day" at Peyton and Isaacs church tonight. They had fun. He went swimming in the pool when he got back. Nana was gone and got back around 8:45. We got to visit with her for a little while before we left. There were some foxes on the side of our road when we got home. We locked up the chickens.
