8/31/22

Took Eli to school and got a call from Vikki saying she was coming over today.  Yay!  I fed the animals and cleaned up the house a little.  Jacob worked on school work today.  Vikki and I visited and had some coffee.  We set up the hammocks in the woods and relaxed out there. It felt nice and cool in the hammocks with the breeze.  Vikki brought cheese and crackers for lunch. We took Jacob to school around 1:00.  Vikki had to leave around 1:30 to go get her kids from school.  I worked on blanching corn and getting it in the freezer.  After picking up the boys I cleaned up the corn mess.  I'll have to work on it some more tomorrow.  Jared came home from work early and we went to Midland to look at a tractor for sale.  Its really nice and we decided to buy it.  He will deliver it tomorrow. We then took Eli to Mcdonalds.  He had soccer practice from 6-7pm.  We dropped him off early and headed to Bay city for Adam's soccer game.  The game ended early with a "Mercy" game 8-0.  Adam's friends came to watch the game.  Jacob mowed the lawn and it looks nice.  Watched some tv and ate dinner.  Played a couple games of bedwars. 

8/30/22

Jared took the day off work today so we could celebrate our 19th anniversary.  He took Adam to school this morning and brought home bagels and coffee.  We took a walk in the woods.  Woke Jacob and dropped him off at school around 9:30.  Then we headed off to Clare to drive around Amish country.  We drove around for a few hours.  We saw a team of horses that had a wheel barrow harnessed to them.  The amish man and his kids would use it as a shovel with the horses pulling and take it to dump it.  They drove the horses right up on top of the dirt pile.  The house on the property looked like it was just built and it was beautiful.  We  drove behind a team of horses pulling a hay wagon.  After awhile the man pulled over so we could pass.  There was a couple of small kids sitting in the middle of the hay wagon.  They smiled and looked like they were having fun.  We stopped at the new amish produce store.  It's owned by the man that own the farm that the amish auction is on.  He always remembers us because of Wyatt, "Shada hound."  We bought a big bag of Zastros popcorn and also got some ice cream cones.  Wyatt rode along with us in the back seat of the car.  We had the windows down and it was a nice day.  When we got home we had some soup.  Jared picked the boys up from school.  They helped us dig up potatoes in the garden.  We also pulled the onions and picked peppers.  Eli took a couple carrots to feed Bo.  We went to the store on our way to pick up Adam from soccer practice.  We picked out some anniversary cards to give each other.  We ordered Pi's Chinese and also picked up pizza and breadsticks for the boys.  When we got home Jacob had to leave for band practice.  We watched the movie Sonic.  Some people came over this evening to look at our tractor and they bought it.  Yay!  We brought the potatoes in and cleaned them up and put them away to store.  We put the onions out of the deck table to cure.  

8/29/22

Today was Eli and Jacob's first day of school.  Jared left with Adam and Jacob at 6:40 and I took Eli.  Eli was looking for his schedule this morning and couldn't find it.  He looked  in his backpack but didn't find it there.  I looked and found it in his backpack.  I put it back where I found it.  We left early but when we were about halfway there Eli said he took his schedule out to look at it and left it on the table.  We turned around and went back for it.  He only had a few minutes to get to his class when we finally got to school.  This morning I shaved Wyatt and gave him a nail trim.  After he was finished he got down off the table and hurried back to the bathroom where he knew he was getting a bath.  Without me telling him to he put his paws on the side of the tub he was going to get in.  This afternoon we got a thunderstorm.  In midland it downpoured. Jared was heading home with Adam from his soccer practice in the storm.  We got lots of thunder and lightening and some rain.  It wasn't enough rain to put out the fire so that's good.  Jacob and Eli had great first days.  Eli is pretty excited about his crime scene investigation class.  We picked the corn and the boys helped us shuck it all.  Eli had lots of fun cutting down the corn stalks with his machete.  We played some bedwars with the boys when we came inside.  

8/28/22

This was the first Sunday that we didn't have to go back and pick up a kid from the kids area.  Eli now stays in the service with us.  Jared asked Pastor Gene if we could got back and get another kid.  He said , Sure, the parent might be fine with that.  Haha.  We stopped for groceries and then went home to put them away.  We picked up some pizza's on the way to my parents house to celebrate Dad's 74th birthday. Vikki and her family was there. After lunch we went out so I could work on Vikki's car.  Spent a couple hours doing that.  It looks alot better now.  Melissa and her family, Chuck and Sue, Kenzie, and Stacies family all came over.  Mom lit candles but the wind (and Jared) blew them out before she got to Dad.  Haha.  We sang to the birthday boy.  We had a nice time visiting on the deck.  The kids had fun playing together.  We left around 7:00.  Jacob and Eli's first day of school is tomorrow.  Watched tv and had popcorn pop and ice cream. 

8/27/22

Jared went to town to get donuts and drinks.  Bruce came around 9:30 to pick up Jack.  He didn't know we were supposed to meet in Saginaw because we were going there anyway.  We had a nice visit.  They left and we got ready to leave.  Went to Nana's house because we are driving together to Amanda's baby shower. We had left our van there last night.  Jared took the boys home.  They stopped at Dunhams so Eli could pick out new cleats.  He has his first soccer practiced at 1:00.  Our neighbor boy is on his team.  The shower was from 12:00-4:00 but it finished early.  It was a nice shower and my cousin Shani sat with us. We stopped at Vikki's to plant a Mum she had won. Also stopped at Lowes to get Dads birthday present.  Back at Mom's I worked on the other side of Vikki's car.  There was alot of rust and some big holes.  I worked on it pit for hours until I couldn't see because it was getting dark.  I'll finish tomorrow.  Melissa and Evan came over for awhile too.  The boys helped Daddy finish hauling logs to the fire.  

8/26/22

I did some cleaning this morning.  Then I headed to my parents house.  The boys were watching tv with Papa.  Vikki and the kids came over too.  We helped Nana and Papa get their pool closed up today.  Eli went with Papa to pick up Max.  They went to Culvers.  Around 2:00 Mom left to go pick up Jack and Evan. Eli went with her.  Vikki and Peyton came with me to pick up Adam.  I spent the afternoon working on Vikki's car.  Jared came over to help cover the pool but we had it all done.  Mom picked up pizza's for dinner.  Jack came home with us to spend the night.  I made popcorn on the stove and we watched a movie before bed.  

8/25/22

 Went to Vikki's house today around 11:45.  Mom met us there and brought lunch.  We had a nice visit.  Jacob and Eli went home with Nana. I met Jared at home and we went to Adam's soccer game in Lansing. It rained off and on.  The team was tough and we lost 4-1.  Adam played hard.  He rode the charter bus back to school.  We picked him up around 9:30. He was super hungry and ate a whole pizza. 

8/24/22

 It was a hot day today, upper 80's.  This afternoon we went to Dow Gardens to walk around.  We didn't have long to walk around before we had to go get Adam.  We didn't think Adam had soccer practice because they had messaged that practice was on Tue and Thurs.  Braydon came over to play outside with Eli.  We got a message saying Adam did have practice.  He was late and got there around 4:45.  Practice was from 4-6.  It started pouring rain on the drive home.  It really downpoured. Jared was at the corner of our road and said Adam's practice was over due to the storm.  In the short time it rained we got almost 3 inches of rain.  We made meatloaf and mashed  potatoes for dinner.  

8/23/22

Jacob had to be to school at 9:30 for a trip to Delta.  I shampooed the carpet when I got home.  Had to pick up Jacob at 11:45 and then took Eli to school to get his schedule.  He found his locker and tried it and then we found all his classrooms.  Played some bedwars with the boys.  Picked Adam up at 2:30.  We went to McDonalds and then we to the library.  Listened to Toby Mac's new album which is great! Took Adam to his soccer practice at 4:00.  Jacob had to be to school at 5:00 to pick up his laptop.  We had to go back home because he forgot a form.  Then he found out he didn't need that form that we went back for.  He got his laptop and his schedule and then tried his locker.  He only has band at Meridian this year.  We didn't have long at home before we had to leave to take Jacob to band practice.  That was from 6:30-8:30.  After dinner Jared worked on cutting up the cottonwood.  I worked on the fire.
