12/24/22

We didn't drive to get our Sat goodies because it was super cold and windy and the roads were slick.  Jared and I smoothed the bottom of the pots the came out of the kiln last night.  The boys and Jared helped me clean the living room and kitchen.  I made a pie and put it in the fridge to bake tomorrow.  I started some dough for rolls in the bread machine.  This afternoon we headed to my parents house.  We stopped at Tim Hortons for our Sat goodies but they had just closed at 1:00.  We stopped at Jacks for some goodies.  Vikki and her family and Hailey were at Nana's too.  Vikki made some yummy chicken noodle soup.  Hailey taught the boys a new card game called taco cat goat cheese pizza.  She taught us it later and it was so much fun. Jared won the first three games and then Jacob won.  I had the most cards every time.  Haha.  We then played skipbo with Jared and I, Vikki and Rody and Mom and Dad.  Jared and I won.  We also played a game of 3-13.  Peyton won.  Jacob came in close second.  Vikki had the high score with 321.  Then we had fun playing pictionary which Peytong was really looking forward to playing.  Jack played via Facetime.  It was still super cold and windy when we went home.  Burr!

Jared surprised me and had the day off work today!  Yay!  Eli was up when we got up.  Jacob and Adam were up around 10:00.  We played some bedwars with the boys.  Then I worked on cleaning the back half of the house.  It was very cold and windy today.  It looks like we got about 6 inches of snow last night.  We played some more bedwars with the boys this evening and watched Dick Van Dyke.  We unloaded the kiln after the boys were in bed.  The green colors didn't turn out great but are still ok.  We  lost a few mugs with this refiring.

Jacob and Adam slept in until about noon today.  I woke Jacob before I left to got to town.  I had some shopping to do.  It was very busy in town.  I had to drop off some things at the UPS store for some amazon returns.  I went to target to return something.  I did some shopping there.  Also went to Staples, Walmart, Meijer and Aldi's.  There were no carts at Walmart and Meijer.  The parking lot was very full.  Jared got out of work a little early and made it home just before I did.  We had fun playing bedwars with the boys this evening.  Then Jared and I played 3-13.  Jared won.  The kiln errored so we had to refire it. Bummer!

This afternoon Adam had his appointment with the neurologist.  I forgot to throw our trash in the dumpster so it was still in our van.  Luckily it was trash day at my parents. Jared met me there.  Mom made Jared some Chocolate Crinkle cookies because he loves them.  She made me some coffee too.   We saw Matthew Starkie in the waiting room at the neurologist.  He was picking up a sleep at home test kit.  The doctor asked Adam a bunch of questing and did a quick exam.  She has decided he should get an mRI and is putting him on a lose does of an antidepressant medicine for his headaches.  Jared and I drove separate because I had a couple stores to stop at.  He dropped Adam off at Nana and Papa's on his way back to work.  We helped Nana decorate her Christmas cookies and got them done quickly.  Nana made goulash for dinner. Yummy!

Our mailbox is on our road! Yay!

I woke Eli up late today because I was busy packing up a big order and didn't realize what time it was.  He got ready quickly and we headed to school.  From there I went to town to do some shopping for stocking stuffers.

 We went to church online this morning.  Then we played some bewares with the boys.  Jared went to town to get pizza for lunch.  Jacob had to be at the Dow event center at 12:45 for the Midland concert band.  The show started at 3:00. It was a wonderful Christmas concert.  Jacob's clarinet choir performed a couple songs which were great.  We drove separate so I could stop at the store for groceries.  We watched Dick Van dyke and had popcorn pop and ice cream.  Eli spent a long time today FaceTiming with Jack today.

Jared went to town to get our Sat goodies.  We had fun playing bedwars with the boys.  We were doing really good and both Jacob and Adam were pretty excited that their names made it on the leaderboard.   Jared and I played 3-13 and I won.  Eli worked on some drawings in his room and facetimed Jack.  Eli and I played some games of jenga.  Then Jacob and I played skipbo.  Jacob won.
