Jared took Adam to Nana and Papa's before going to work this morning.  Adam is going with Papa and Chuck to Lansing to get some furniture from Uncle Freddie's.  Jacob, Eli and I got to the fair around 9:00.  We were taking care of the sheep and the kids that helped us learn horses yesterday found us and asked if we could help them learn to show sheep.  Tanner is in the senior class and Claire is in the intermediate class.  Tanner has done the overall show before but this was Claire's first time.  She was having a difficult time holding the sheep but with practice she did great.  I pretended to be judge and they each worked with the sheep many times.  The sheep got loose on Tanner once but we caught him quickly.  Jacob gave them lots of showing tips and was very helpful.  We went to the store and got Eli a pair of boots to show in.  At home we got Dob (Eli's sheep) out and used her to practice showmanship.  We pretended she was a horse, cow, dairy cow, and even a pig.  Jared came home around noon and soon we headed to the fairgrounds.  The overall show started at 1:00.  They started with showing horses and then moved to a new arena to show sheep, beef cows, and dairy.  They were supposed to show pigs but the pig barn got shut down due to sick pigs.  They trucked all the pigs away.  Jacob got a crazy sheep but did great with him.  It was getting loose from kids in other classes and they talked about switching it. Later we found out that sheep belonged to Alana and he only likes girls.  Alana was in the intermediate age group and plays on Adam's soccer team.  She also used to go to Meridian. They apologized for how crazy he was.  Jacob just laughed about it.  Eli's favorite to show was the steer.  Jacob came in third but was only 1 points away from second.  Mom, Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came to watch the show.  Isaac came home with us.  Adam was home when we got there.  Vikki picked up Jacob and Adam and they are going to spend the night at the campground.  Isaac is spending the night with us.  The boys played minecraft.  Jared and I played a couple games of 3-13 and we each won.

It was so much fun (and a little tense) watching the boys show these different animals. They sure did a super job. Loved having Jacob and Adam spend the night. They are so much fun and so loving and respectful.
