We were up early and headed to the fairgrounds. It was nice and cool this morning. The boys fed their sheep and then we took them out to clean them off. They sure had a lot of pine shavings on their legs. The boys worked with they sheep in the arena. Jacob sheep was not wanting to brace and didn't want to hold its neck up. It was very frustrating for Jacob. He worked for a long time with him before the show. His senior class was in first. There were only 3 other exhibitors in his group. Jacob's sheep didn't cooperate but the judge still chose Jacob for first place. Jacob was very happy. Adam's intermediate group was in next. There were 9 kids in this group. Adam did great showing his sheep. The judge really liked the way he showed his sheep and answered her question. However she wouldn't place him in the top three because he was wearing his muck boots and he didn't tuck them under his jeans. He was pretty bummed that this was the reason he didn't place higher. He got 4th place. Eli was in the beginner class with 7 kids in his group. His sheep was very jumpy. The judge liked the way Eli showed his sheep and he got first place. He was very excited. The boys also showed in market and Midland county special. For the Midland county special class the sheep are born and raised on the same farm in Midland county. The only three in this class were Jacob, Adam and Eli. Eli won first, Adam won second, and Jacob won third place. Nana came to watch the boy show their sheep. After the show Nana went to pick up Papa from a nearby auto shop. When they came back we walked around the merchant buildings and the animal barns. Eli sure loves seeing the horses. We then had to leave so Jared could get to work. At home the boys had lunch and watched some tv. Then Jacob, Adam and I played 3-13. Jacob won. I had the high score. The boys played Minecraft. We had tacos for dinner. After dinner we went to the fair to take care of the sheep and walked around the animal barns. At home Jared read from the Watcher's book and I read devotionals.

They all did a great job showing their sheep. Too bad about Adam's boots keeping him out of the top 3. Next year he will know. I was very proud of all three boys and the way they showed their sheep. I was very impressed! Loved being there to watch.
