First soccer games today

Eli was excited to be goalie!

New spot for the bench
We headed into town for our Sat goodies.  It was really busy at Apple Bagel.  While Jared and Adam waited there I headed to Tim Horton's.  It was also really busy at Tim Horton's.  We got to the soccer field around 9:30 and Adam's game started at 10:00.  He played against Pastor Scott's (our youth minister) team.  Our team played hard and we had a lot of shots on goal but none of them made it in.  I think the score was 0-4.  Eli's game started at 11:30.  He got to be goalie for the first half.  He loves being goalie and is good at it.  He's super quick at throwing the ball to the sideline.  But our team seemed lost in the first half and we got scored on a lot.  The second half they played much better.  Jacob and Adam kicked the ball around during Eli's game.  Logan and Gavin came over when we got home and stayed until dinnertime.  Jared mowed the lawn.  We moved the bench to a different spot by the pond because it kept sinking in the wet clay.  We started a fire and sat on the swing.  We called to talk to Grandma.  After dinner Adam and Eli went out to play in the sand.  We started the fire back up and sat with Jacob on the swing.  Then Jacob asked Daddy if he wanted to kick the soccer ball around.  While they did that I worked on digging up all the cattails in the tall grass.  It was really spreading and I don't want it in our woods or in our small pond.  Everyone came to sit by the fire and the boys had smore's.  Inside we watched a Heartland before bed.
