Meeting Wyatt!

Family photo with Wyatt and his mom

He was much happier in his crate

nap time

We woke up around 4:30 am and were on our way to Canada just after 5:00.  We stopped for goodies at Tim Hortons. The boys watched dvd's that we'd gotten at the library.  We got through the border at Port Huron with no problems.  Adam brought some money so he could exchange it for Canadian money at a bank. His $10 us dollars became $12.40 Canadian money.  He spent some at the gas station and wants to take the rest to show his friends at school.  We got there just after 10:00.  There was another couple already there picking up their “green collar” puppy.  She put on new collars and we took pictures outside with Wyatt and his mom, Brightly. Wyatt is such a cute puppy and we were so excited to meet him!  He sat on my lap for a little while but was whining so we put him in his crate.  We covered the crate partly with a blanket.  He quickly calmed down and fell asleep.  We stopped a couple time for a potty break and to stretch.  We got across the border into the US with no issues though it took longer and they had us open the side door.  We had to get a permit from the CDC to bring our puppy across the country line without a rabies.  He has to be quarantined until a month after he gets his rabies vaccination.   If he leaves our property the fine is $100,000 and/or 1 year in jail.  He can go to the vet only with a muzzle on.  We got home around 3pm and Megan came over to see the puppy.  Nik came over for a couple hours and the boys played with magnetics on the deck.  Then they played in the sandbox with the hose.  We took a walk in the woods which Wyatt seemed to enjoy.  He’s gotten used to his pen in the kitchen.  He plays so cute with his toys.  We let him run around the yard with his leash on but he stayed close to us.  We weighed him and he's 6.8 lbs.
