Didn’t sleep very good last night. During the night Adam came into the bedroom complaining of a really sore throat. I got up and gave him some medicine. Eli woke up early and wanted some medicine because his throat was “stinging”. Jacob and I played a game of 3-13 and Adam and Eli watched Angry birds. At 8:00 we headed to Walmart for a couple things and then to Nana and Papa’s. Melissa and her family had just got there and Vikki came soon after us. Dad started off with a prayer and read the Christmas story from the Bible. Then the guys handed out gifts. Kenzie gave us girls all some beautiful glass pendants that she’d made. Vikki made matching bracelets for all the kids. The kids started with their gift exchange. Peyton got Adam a Diary of the Wimpy kid book and a cool light. Max got Jacob a Star Wars Lego set and Jack got Eli a lego Minecraft set. Then the kids opened their presents from Nana and Papa starting with the youngest. Jacob, Adam, and Eli got Rival nerf guns, rival lights, nerf darts, and money. Vikki gave Mom, Mel and I all beautiful bracelet sets. She also gave us some of her homemade “puppy chow” and a cute little calendar. Mom and Dad got us some awesome pottery tools from Simon Leach. I also got a splatter guard, collapsible strainer, dishcloths, a Tim Hortons card, a picture ornament and Jared got a coin counting jar. Mom and Dad opened their gifts last and Dads first gift was from us. It was a couple beautiful lamps that nobody wants haha. A couple weeks ago Dad snuck the lamps in our vehicle which we found when we got home. No one wants the lamps because one is cracked. We hung onto them and wrapped them for Dad to open today. It was really funny to watch him open it. Haha! We got Mom a scissor grooming set which I will love to use on Mocha haha. We also gave her a new mug, some buttons, and a handspun mittens and hat set from Blanch’s wool. We got Dad a new beard trimmer. It was really fun watching everyone open their gifts. Melissa found Mom and Dad the last two pieces to their outdoor nativity set which they aren't making any more. They bought the displays from Bronner’s. Vikki gave Dad a beautiful painting that she had dreamed about and made for Dad. Chuck and Sue came to celebrate with us and gave each of the kids $5. Roy and Marie also came to celebrate with us. Mom made a wonderful meal! Thank-you Mom!!! We had pie and cookies for desert. The kids had fun playing in the basement. Vikki taught Jacob how to make a bracelet. We enoyed visiting and Mom made us a yummy coffee in her new machine. Dad put the lamps in the back of our van so Jared left them by their outdoor nativity. Around 7:30 we headed home. The roads were slick because it snowed today.
