Setting up camp

Heading to Pebble beach

Searching for rocks

We woke up around 2:30am.  Jacob and Adam were sleeping on the floor in our bedroom. When we woke Eli he quickly sat up and said, "Copper Harbor!"  We were on the road by 3:00am.  We were going to drop the trash off at the dumpster but forgot and it was hanging on our mirror.  Jared pulled it in while we were driving and we hauled it with us until we crossed the bridge.  Good thing there wasn't much in it.  We had to slow down for a deer crossing Stark road.  The boys read books with flashlights under their blankets.  After a little while Eli fell aleep. Jacob, Adam and Daddy played the alphabet game.  We crossed the Mackinac bridge just before 6am.  The boys woke Eli so he could see the bridge. Minutes later Adam turned around to tell Eli something and said, "hey, he's asleep!" The gas station we always stop at was closed but we still got out there to stretch.  We had pop tarts for breakfast and the boys watched some movies.  After a while I drove so Jared could get some sleep.  We stopped at the Hilltop restaurant for sweet rolls.  They were so busy and it took a long time.  We had fun playing games while we waited.  They gave us an extra sweet rolls for our wait.  We stopped in Kearsarge to stretch and the boys played on the stone boat.  We arrived in Copper harbor around 1:30.  It was nice and cool at around 60 degrees.  We drove by the pottery shop and said hi to Leslie.  We spent the next several hours setting up camp.  Adam went on a bike ride and found a bundle of wood!  Daddy and the boys took a bike ride and then Adam and I went for a ride.  We had sandwiches for dinner and then took a walk over to pebble beach. We walked along the beach and also on the trail.  We went to bed around 8:00.  Eli and Jacob fell asleep really quickly.  Soon Jared was snoozing too.  After a while I heard Adam say, "Well, I guess I'll get up and do whatever I want!"  I asked Adam what he said and he said,"Oh I thought you were asleep."  Haha.  Adam woke up during the night and was disoriented.  He wondered why he had changed places with his brothers.
