Day 10 (7-31-17)

We were up at 6:30 and Adam was up just after 7:00. He took a bike ride and then we played chess and checkers.  Jacob woke up just before 8:00 and we played a game of chess.  Grandma went to get pancakes ready and we took a bike ride with Adam. Eli was up around 8:30.  Andrew and Noah also came for pancakes at Grandma's.  Jacob is wearing my fitbit again today and took a walk with us this morning.  Jacob, Adam, Jared and I played 3-13. Eli went for a bike ride and played with Dominic.  After lunch we headed to Great Sand bay.  It was a windy day and the boys enjoyed playing in the waves with Daddy.  They also had fun playing in the stream and sand.  They were playing up on the sand hill and saw a snake.  For awhile they tried to catch it in the tall grass but it got away.  After a couple hours we headed up the road to the Jampot for goodies.  We hiked up to see Jacob's falls and ate our goodies.  On our way back to camp we stopped to visit with Leslie.  Back at camp we got pizza's ready for dinner.  Andrew and Noah were ready and waiting to play with the boys.  They ran off to play hide and seek.  Eli was full so he gave the rest of his pizza to Andrew and Noah.  After dinner we took a walk around the campground.  The boys were riding around on their bikes and scooters.  Eli and Adam came riding with their bears tied to Eli's scooter.  Grandma came over and we visited and knitted.  We undid Jared's first dishcloth (that he'd messed up on) so Grandma could reknit it.  The boys rode bikes over to the fort store to get some treats.  We sat by the fire with Grandma and Grandpa and the boys played Uno in the screen tent.  I played a game with them and then we made hot chocolate.  We also had s'mores.  Got to bed around 10:30. We finished reading the 9th 39 Clues book tonight and started on the 10th.

Day 9 (7-30-17)

Pebble Beach

We were up around 6:30 and Adam slept until 7:30.  Jacob and Eli were up around 8:30.   We took a bike ride around the campground before breakfast.  Eric and his family also came over for Grandma's pancakes this morning.  The kids had fun playing together while we visited.  Then we took a walk around the campground.  Andrew and Noah came over while Eric and Kat worked on moving sites.  Noah had fun playing in the hammocks.  Jared worked on splitting wood.  We taught Andrew how to play tonk and he taught us how to play black jack.  Then we played 3-13.  We helped carry Kat and Eric's folded tent to their new site.  After lunch Jacob and Andrew played chess and checkers.  We also played 21 with Grandma and Grandpa.  Then Jacob and Andrew played War.  We relaxed in our hammocks for awhile.  The boys went to the fort store and stopped the see battery D on their way back.  We walked over to Pebble beach so the boys could play in the water.  Eli got cold so he played with rocks on the beach.  Jacob and Adam found some large driftwood to play on.  The breeze felt so nice on the beach.  Jared walked the path and found blueberries for Grandpa's pancakes.  Eli and Adam would like to try some in their pancakes too.  We hiked the stream from Lake Superior to Lake Fanny Hooe.  The boys looked for crayfish and frogs.  We also saw lots of fish.  A big fish even swam around and then swam between my feet.  Dennis and Marsha arrived today and were setting up camp when we got back.  The boys had fun playing with Andrew and Noah by the lake.  After dinner the boys found an empty site to play at.  Jared and I visited with Grandma and Grandpa and then we took a bike ride around the campground.  Grandma and Grandpa came over and we sat by the fire.  Andrew and Noah came to sit by the fire and we played 21.  Jacob and I took a bike ride around the campground and Eli and Adam rode their scooters.  The boys were playing with silly putty and pretending they were wearing hearing aids.  We made s'mores and went to bed around 10pm.

Day 8 (7-29-17)

We were up at 6:30.  Adam and I took a walk around the campground.  He is wearing my fitbit today and trying to get steps.  We saw a couple campers just about to leave with lots of firewood.  Adam went back to get Daddy with the van.  Grandma came over to visit and we did some knitting. Adam rode his bike over to the fort.  Eli woke up just before 9:00 and and went to find Adam at the fort. He came back pouting because he couldn't find him.  Jacob woke up around 9:30.  After breakfast we took a walk around the campground and then over to the fort to watch Dr Bandit's amputation.  We came back and had lunch. Then we relaxed at out site for a couple hours.  Adam went with Daddy to get ice and they surprised us with pops.  We walked over at 2:45 for Dr Bandit's elixer show.  Back at camp the boys headed to the fort store. Adam and Eli got bottle caps and Jacob got a rice crispy treat and lemonade.  We then went into town to visit with Dennis and Leslie.  Grandma and Grandpa were there too.  Back at camp we made pizzas for dinner.  After dinner we took a walk around the campground.  Eric and his family arrived today and set up camp.  We played a game of triominos with Jacob.  Then we headed over to the fort to watch Battery D fire the cannons.  We walked around some fort buildings while waiting for the show to start.  From there we walked over to Pebble beach.  We went back to camp to sit by the fire with Grandma and Grandpa and made s'mores.  Jacob went to take a drink of his water and dumped it down his shirt and up his nose.  We went to bed around 10pm.
