Jared had an appointment this morning with Dr Shutz for an EMB and to go over the MRI results.  The MRI showed that Jared has a L3-L4 herniated disc and the Dr recommends surgery.  We have an appointment with Dr Mark Adams (the Neurosurgeon) on October 8th.

Eli had 2 soccer games today.  His first game and Adam's game overlapped.  We had about an hour in-between Eli's games so we brought packed lunches.

Jared finished spinning/plying Oscars wool.

The boys are having fun taking apart a bunch of electronics left over from Darren's garage sale free box.  

This evening our neighbor came over to buy eggs. Before heading home he took Jacob and Adam (and then Jared and Eli) to ride the trails on his property in his Utility vehicle. Jared got to take it for a drive too. The boys had so much fun!

I took Jared to work this morning and then headed to my parents house. Vikki came over too. Mom made some yummy soup for lunch and also sent some home with me. Thanks Mom! I picked Jared up from work early and we headed to the hospital for his MRI. The appointment didn't take long. At home we did some spinning until it was time to get the boys off the bus.

Jared had an appointment with Dr Bortel, the orthopedic surgeon, this morning.  He told the doctor about the pain in his knee and also about the numbness and weakness in his leg.  The Dr was very concerned about the numbness and weakness.  He left the room to call his wife who is a neuromuscular specialist.  She recommended that Jared have an MRI and an EMG.  Jared's MRI is scheduled for tomorrow. And then on Tuesday he has an appointment with Dr Shutz (the neuromuscular specialist) to go over the results of the MRI and to have an EMG.  Jared also had x-rays of his back but the Dr. didn't expect to see much on those.  Also when the Dr tapped Jared's left knee there was no knee-jerk reflex.  That was just weird to see.  I drove Jared to work and then headed to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription for Jared.  

Jared dropped us off at soccer practice this evening and then he headed over to his coworkers house.  They are using our trailer but the lights need to be rewired.  After practice the boys and I played tag.  I chased them around the playground and we had a lot of fun.
