Today we took down a dead ash tree that was in our paddock.  

We found a ribbon snake.  And Eli caught a wood frog.

We planned on taking down some more trees today but because of the rain we decided to work in the barn.  Took down the workbench in our garage area and made a platform.  The boys had fun playing in the pouring rain.  Jacob's back is still bothering him.

Today Jared and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary!  We brought home Pi's for dinner and watched A-team.  After the boys were in bed we watched I Love Lucy.

Jared took the day off work and we worked outside.  

Took down a couple trees.  This large ash tree didn't fall the way we wanted it to.  It pinched the chain saw and was leaning towards the barn.  Jared was able to push it with the tractor and it fell into the lambs paddock (on the gate and fence).

We hauled the tree up using the tractor and burned them in the sand (it was a windy day).

Putting the salamanders under our new wood pile

Jacob helped me move our wood pile that is by the barn and we stacked it behind the chicken coop.  He was such a great helper and worked with me for about 3 hrs. At the bottom of the wood pile Jacob found two blue spotted salamanders.  Adam and Eli had fun playing in the sand box with the hose.

This is our honey extractor.  Spent some time cleaning it up today.  Can't wait to use it and get some honey!
