Giving Grandpa and Grandma the presents they'd picked out at Secret Santa.

Jared here, taking over Kimmy's blog for a day.  We drove down to Indy on Jan. 2nd to celebrate Christmas.  Roads were wet and icy but we made good time.  Friday we all got up and Eric, Kat, Andrew and Noah came over to open presents and celebrate.  The boys convinced Grandma they needed pancakes and it didn't take too much arm twisting to get the griddle going.  Boys really enjoyed the bracelet loom, pot holder maker and spin art presents.  Grandma made us all pillows and Eli promptly put his on his head.  He loves wearing these pillows like this.  He gets it from Kimmy's side of the family.  The boys all got books as well, Jacob really is enjoying "The Call of the Wild" and has taken it to school to read during his reading time, and he reads it on the bus on the way home.  The boys got some really cool lego super hero key chains and lego land mugs that Eric and Kat picked up in California.  The lego super hero key chains ride to school attached to their backpacks.  Truman received some nice socks for his stomach and colon.  I wrapped some new slippers for Eric and Kat.  They were both wrapped with quite a few yards of packing tape.  he he he... I should of started a timer.  Eric worked and worked.....  he eventually ended up using a sharp instrument to get through the last few layers.  Part of the trick to a good wrap is not to use one continuous piece of tape.  But several short pieces going various different directions.  It took a long long long time.  The boys really enjoyed playing with Andrew and Noah.  Noah was a bit under the weather and was taking it easy.  On Saturday Kimmy and Mom disappeared for several hours to the Goodwill store...however upon their return it was noted they visited 3 Goodwill stores, not just one.  Several good finds.  Well rumor on the weather stations that the big snow storm of the year was coming through on Sunday.  Indy was expecting 12 or so inches.  So instead of leaving on Sunday we decided to bug out on Saturday ahead of the storm.  Good thing we did as Indiana got hammered and most of the highways were closed on Sunday. We made it home without stopping and missed breaking the 5 hr barrier by 3 minutes.  Another great time spent in Indy with family.  That is all... I now return you to your regular broadcast.
