10-9-12

We got the boys each a ball of green string which they love. Jacob used some of his to make a crane machine with his legos which is really cool.

Today Eli had his first dentist appointment. He reluctently sat in the chair and turned his head to me. He wasn't going to look at the hygienist. I pointed out the birds and told him we should look for squirrels. He really liked all the birds. Then I had him tell her about our animals and how he helps take care of them. He was happy to tell her about them. She showed him how his chair moves up and down which he thought was really cool. He still did not want to open his mouth. I sat on the chair with him and he let me help him show her his teeth. There was a spot on his front tooth that I wanted them to look at. She said its ok and not even through the enamel. All his other teeth look great. She let him smell the bubble gum polish and he let her polish all his teeth as she counted them. Then she asked if he wanted to see her squirt gun and she squirted water in his mouth. He loved that and also loved the suction straw. He then let her take a picture (not an x-ray) of his teeth and he saw it on the screen. The dentist also came in and looked at his teeth. They let him pick out stickers, a pencil, toothpaste, and a toothbrush which they put in a little bag for him. They also gave him a sucker that is good for his teeth. I showed him the pictures of Jacob and Adam from their last visit and she asked if he wanted his picture taken. He definately did and smiled cute as he stood in front of the flowers. He was so proud of himself.

Jared and Jacob had a pack meeting at cub scouts tonight.  We took Adam to soccer practice.

Lately the boys love to draw while we are on the road. They usually grab a handful of computer paper to draw on. We got them some sketch books to keep in the van.

Jacob explaining his drawing of an aircraft carrier.

Adam loves writing. He decided to get out his cards so he could copy some words.
