After Jared left for work I went out to the barn to check on the sheep. On my way there I heard a sheep that sounded to be in alot of pain. I hurried into the barn and found #82 lying down and pushing hard. I could see two front hooves but she was really struggling. I coaxed her into the larger stall so I could catch her a little easier. Then I moved her into a lambing jub. After checking her I realized it was a  tight delivery. I managed to get a hand in behind the head and tried pulled the head and legs but couldn't get the lamb to move. I pulled one leg out further than the other and then pushed the skin past the lambs head. We got him out and he was very large, weighing 13lbs 8oz. The mom went right to licking her baby. He stood and began nursing quickly. I took the boys to the park and we packed a lunch to eat while we were there. First (and last) they rode their scooters around at the outdoor hockey area. Eli had a great time running around in there too. Then we walked over to the several playgrounds they have in the park. We had alot of fun! This evening Mel and her family came over. Hailey and Mel fed one of the lambs a bottle. The lambs don't do well at sucking from a bottle yet so we always end up tube feeding them. The kids wore water boots and played in the mud/water. Evan is staying with us for a few days - yay! Mel and Bruce are taking Hailey and Max on a train ride to Chicago!
