Day 13

It rained some during the night. Jared and I played 3-13 and I won.  Grandma came over and played the next game with us. Jared won that game. While we were walking a man at a campsite asked if he could talk to us. He said he and his wife have been camping here for nine years and have watched our kids grown up year after year. His wife came over to talk with us too. Jacob and Adam went out on their morning walks. Grandpa gave Eli a stick and he really enjoyed wood burning it. He wood burned different star wars names and some designs. This afternoon we went into town to the pottery shop and to the agate shop. The temperature dropped and we headed back to camp. It rained and we played games in the screen tent. Eli read a book in the tent. Adam worked on his metal earth set. Jared and I played 3-13 and I won. After dinner Adam went with Grandma to the store to get some ice cream. Yummy!  We took a walk around the campground with Adam. Eli really is enjoying using the wood burner. We walked over to the fort and got some pictures. I ripped my shorts on the fort porch. Adam spent a long time working on his metal earth set. It was chilly this evening. We sat by the fire with Grandma and Grandpa. Went to bed at 10:30. 

Day 12

Looking for a tiny lost piece

Jared and I played 3-13 and I won. I woke up Jacob because he wanted to play 3-13 with us in the morning. Jacob won that game by alot. After breakfast we took our walk around the campground. We played a game of skipbo with Jacob and Eli. Then Jacob and Eli played war. This afternoon we went to visit Dennis and Leslie. We walked off the deck to go to the neighbors house and Adam got stung a few times. There was a big hive under the deck. We went to her neighbors house to see her beautiful flower gardens. Came back and visited on the deck with some cold drinks. From there we went to Calumet because Adam wanted to get another metal earth set.  We also had to exchange the tools as one broke. Stopped and picked up a can of hornet spray to drop off to Dennis and Leslie on the way back to camp. I read as we drove there and back. Adam started building his set when we got back. After dinner we took our evening walk. Jacob went for a bike ride over to Pebble beach and found some agates. Grandma brought over her wood burning kit and Eli really enjoyed using it on his stick. Adam went back to building his metal set. Jacob and Eli played skipbo. Grandma and Grandpa came over to visit and we sat under the awning. Jared started a fire but as soon as he got it going it started raining. We took a walk with Adam around the campground when the rain stopped. The boys made smores. 

Day 11

We were up around 7am. Jared and I played a couple games of 3-13. Then we played a game of skipbo with Adam. After breakfast and our walk we just relaxed at the site. Adam walked into town to get a 2 liter of pop to put in the cooler.  Jacob took a 3 mile fast walk and the went for a bike ride. Eli read Garfield in the tent. I helped Jacob clean his break pads that he accidently sprayed with wd40. After lunch we went to Calumet. Jacob drove us there. Daddy read as we drove. We went to the bike shop and the candy store. The boys picked out some salt water taffy. Adam picked up a star wars metal earth set to work on. He started that when we got back to camp. Grandma and Grandpa’s battery died so Jared gave them a jump. Adam started working on his metal building set and worked on it until dinnertime. Jacob and Eli went with Grandma to see Curt get off the Isle royal boat. After dinner Jacob took a 5 mile bike ride. We took a walk with Eli over to the fort store. Jacob foumd us in the store. Grandma and Grandpa were by the fire when we got back. Grandma Jared and the boys played skipbo. Adam won. Adam worked in his metal set and finished it. Its really cool. Jacob and Eli played skipbo and then started a game of war. We went to bed around 10:45.
