Jacob was really excited about his soccer game today. He got dressed in his game gear and we headed into town for drinks and donuts. It was a very windy and chilly day. The game started at 11:00 but we were early and waited in the van for a little while. Jacob was getting some good laughs from Eli. It sure was fun watching Jacob play his first soccer game. He ran after the ball and kicked it many times. The field was wet and he wiped out a few times too. He was being goofy and having so much fun. Adam liked watching the game too and Eli was content in the stroller.  The coach gave the boys juice boxes and fruit roll ups after the game. Adam was happy that they gave him a snack too. The boys ate a packed lunch in the van. At 1:30 we had to be back so Jacob could get pictures taken with his team. Adam fell on the cement and scraped his face. We got home around 2:30. A couple pulled into our driveway before we were even in the house to ask if they could see the house. Jared showed them the outside area while I cleaned up the inside. Jacob was really helpful. Then I took the boys and Truman outside while they looked at the inside. The boys played in a puddle in the driveway. Adam fell flat on his face in the puddle. The boys found a worm to play with. After the couple left I tucked Eli in for a nap. The boys got out legos to play with and I did some exercises. Eli woke up around 5:30.  I was looking at Adam's scrap and said something like, "Wow, thats awesome." and Adam put his hands on his hips and said, “I’m mad about that.” After dinner we watched Land Before Time and had popcorn, pop, and ice cream. Jacob was worried he would be scared during the movie but after awhile he said, “This is turning out to be a pretty good movie.” Eli was funny with Daddy this evening. He would put a small plastic bowl up to Daddy’s mouth and Daddy would say, “Eli” in a loud tone. Then Eli would hold the bowl up to his own mouth and say something in the same tone.

Jacob’s excited about no school tomorrow, soccer, and Easter coming up. Adam got out foam blocks to play with. Eli went around the house seeing what he could get into. He thought it was funny when I kept throwing the couch pillows at him. I rocked him before tucking him in and Adam crawled up on my lap. He rubbed Eli’s face and sang ABC’s to him. Adam and I went outside and played house. Then Adam got on his waterboots to play in the ditch and wet sandbox. Eli woke up just after we came in for lunch. After lunch Adam wanted to play school which we played in my bedroom. Adam set up a stool by the hope chest at the end of our bed. Eli climbed the stool and hope chest to get on the bed. He’s learning to back down to get off of things. Eli was fussy this afternoon. Jacob and Adam were excited this evening when Daddy surprised them with soccer balls. Adam asked if he can sleep with his tonight. We went outside and played with those until dinnertime. After dinner we colored Easter Eggs. The boys were really excited about doing those. They liked watching the tablet fizz in the vinegar. Even Eli liked watching that. He loved holding the eggs. He did color one egg but really just wanted to spash the dye. The boys each had 11 eggs to dye. After the eggs were done and dry they then decorated them with little stickers.

Eli sure is into everything lately. He loves to take all my magazines out from the holder and is also into drawers and cupboards too. He loves to pull wet wipes out of the container and sometimes he'll shoves them back in too. The expression on his face is so funny. Today he was squinting as he smiled really big. Adam watched Wonderpets and then got out the road set and some cars to play with. He crawled into Eli's crib to cuddled as I was tucking him in for a nap. Eli would smile so big when Adam kissed his cheek. Adam did some painting with water colors. Lately he likes drawing trains and the sun. For some of his paintings he would have me go away so he could surprise me. We then played house until lunchtime. Eli woke up in time to eat lunch with us. After lunch Adam wanted to continue playing house. We made a tent under the loft bed to play in. Adam wore my flip flops a lot today and even asked to wear them on our walk/bike ride down to get Jacob off the bus too – silly boy. He played in the big ditch while we waited for the bus. Jacob was excited to see his bike was there to ride home. The boys raced on ahead of me to beat us home. I tucked Eli in for a nap and he slept until dinner. Jacob and Adam built a nice road with their set and played with their matchbox cars. We watched, How they built that: Fire trucks. After dinner we went outside. Eli really liked sitting on the tricycle while I pushed him up and down the driveway. Daddy and the boys went back in the our woods. The boys played while Daddy checked on the hose we have pumping water to the ditch. Then Daddy gave Adam and Jacob rides on the scooter which they love. Jacob laughed as he made “pot holes” in the barn dirt for Daddy to ride over with the scooter.
