8/5/22

We took Jacob to his last day of band camp and then headed to Bay Shore.  I stopped at McDonalds to get Adam a drink and the lady behind us ran into our car while I was ordering.  She got out and said there wasn't any damage.  I went to the tabernacle to hear Pastor Tim's message with my parents and Vikki.  When we were walking back Bruce met us and told us that Jack and Evan had covid.  It was going around at the campground.  We decided to pack up and head home early.  Jack and Evan came home with us to quaranteen at our house since we have recently had covid.  We stopped at McDonalds for drinks on the way home.  Evan didn't want a drink but got a shake.  At home I took Evan's temperature and it was 104.9.  I gave him some more medicine and soon he was feeling better and was hungry.  After dinner both Jack and Evan went outside to catch chickens.  Jack took a walk in the woods with us.  We watched a good movie called Luck.  Gave Evan some more medicine and he ate a couple bowls of cereal.  Adam had stayed at the campground with Hailey and she dropped him off at Nana and Papa's on her way home.  They got back around 10:30

8/4/22

The trains were SO LOUD durning the night.  They were banging and squealing. The tracks are right behind the camper. It lasted for a long time.  We were up around 7:30.  We had breakfast and then all headed off to our classes.  We were in class until around noon. Then we went back for lunch.  We played a game of skipbo.  It was Isaac and Adam vs Mom and I.  They won.  This afternoon Eli, Jack and a couple other kids joined an amazing race.  Isaac and Evan were in another team  They started the race by going to the zipline.  They had to run all over doing different things.  Adam's soccer tournament started at the same time as the race.  It was a 4v4 game.  Adam played goalie but also scored all 5 of their goals.  This game ended with a 5-4 win for Adam's team.  The next team they played Adam was also goalie.  They lost 4-5.  We went to Wes and Gayla's to celebrate their 60th anniversary!  There was cake and ice cream.  Mom ordered pizza for dinner.  We followed her and she gave us some to eat on the drive.  Adam had soccer practice from 7-9pm.  Jared Jacob and I played a game of skipbo.  Jared won.

8/3/22

Adam and I dropped Jacob off at school for band camp and then headed to Bay Shore camp. This afternoon it rained so some of the activities were canceled due to a thunderstorm.  Eli and Jacob were dressed and ready for paintball but that got canceled so they did laser tag and played gaga ball.  It really rained hard.  We played a game of skipbo.  It was Adam and Papa vs Mom and I.  They boys won.  I went to the service this evening but left early because I wanted to make it home before dark.  I left around 8:30 so it was getting dark and was raining.  I drove for awhile before I realized that I had missed a turn.  I had been driving for about 30 minutes and was still over an hour from home.  I decided to go back to camp and spend the night.  Adam Vikki and I played some skipbo.  I slept in the bunk with Vikki.  Eli and Jack slept in the tent.  Evan slept in the loft with Adam.

8/2/22

Jacob needed to be to school at 8:45 for band camp.  From there I headed to Bay Shore family camp in Sebawing.  My contacts were really bothering me so I stopped at Walgreens for some solution.  Vikki met me as I was driving into camp and rode with me. We headed to a class where Mom had saved us some seats. The message was great and it was on prayer.  We went back to camp and had sandwiches for lunch. I was happy to get to see the boys.  They sure are having a great time.  Adam was playing soccer when we got done with our class.  Eli and Jack came and told us about some plays they did.  Eli's group did a Star Wars act,  Adam's group did Lion king and Hailey and Jack's group did Advengers.  The boys went off to play some carpet ball and other thing.  They came back after awhile and said they saw a man carrying a gun.  We didn't think much about it and sent them off.  After awhile they came back and said the police were there and told us all to stay in the camper.  They had police with dogs and drones looking for the man with the gun.  After a long time with some drama from the boys they found the man with the gun.  He had a license to carry but was told to conceal his weapon.  We walked to the store but it was closed.  At 2:30 we watched the group running the 5k race.  Adam ran in the race and finished with a 21 min 11 second run.  We walked over to see Paul who was doing archery.  We tried it to.  I missed the target every time.  Max and Melissa came to day and Max brought his service dog, Vader.  We walked to the store and I got Adam a pop.  The kids went swimming.  We sat under the awning and visited with Wes and Gayla.  Mom made sloppy jo's for dinner.  We left around 5:30 so Adam could make it to soccer practice.  Jared and I took a walk around the yard and in the woods and sat on the swing.  We watched some tv with the boys.

8/1/22

Grandma was busy working in the flower beds when we woke up this morning.  She sure made them look nice!  Dropped Jacob off at band camp which goes from 8:30 - 5:00 Mon - Friday.  We took a trip to Saginaw to drop off some forms at the Drs office.  Adam needs physical forms filled out for soccer.  We also stopped at Vikki's house so Grandma could look at the flower pots she's getting rid of.  It rained while we were gone and there were puddles in the driveway.  We ate lunch when we got back.  Grandma and Grandpa headed back to Indiana.  I looked on our swamp milkweed. plant and found 6 monarch caterpillars.  I went into town to get some things for hiding the tv cables.  Jared picked up Jacob from band camp.  Jared and I worked on hiding the cords and getting the tv all set up.  We had veggie lasagna for dinner and garlic toast.  Jacob was pretty tired.  He practiced his instrument.  Jared and I took a walk down the road to look for more caterpillars but we didn't find any.
