6/13/21

 

After church Adam mowed the lawn.  We worked on cleaning up all the branches in the yard and in the woods.  Jacob stared a fired and we burned the branches in the firepit.  There was a lot to burn.  The fire continued to burn even in the rain.  Nana and Papa stopped over for a visit on their way home from their motorcycle trip to Mackinaw City.  We took a walk around the yard and then sat on the deck and drank tea.  Had a nice visit.  This evening we had popcorn pop and ice cream and watched the Garfield movie.  

6/12/21

The boys slept in this morning until around 8:30.  Jacob drove with Daddy into town for our Sat goodies.  I took a walk in the woods and then sat on the deck to drink my coffee.  We left around 11:00 because Jacob had a game at noon.  The other team forfeited because they didn't have enough players.  They only had 4 players.  We gave them players from our team and played 10 vs 10.  We ended up losing 5-4.  It was a fun game and they all played hard.  It was in the 70's but felt very hot and humid.  Jacob got a fountain pop from the gas station on the way home.  When we got home we had lunch.  Soon it was time to head into town for Adam's 4:00 game.  They won 4-1.  It was a great game!  After the game Pastor Scott said kind words about every one of the 20 players on his team.  Then someone came up and told Pastor Scott that his team won first played in the U15 league.  The boys all got a trophy!  We stopped and got Adam a concrete mixer from Culvers on the way home.  At home the boys played Minecraft.  Jared and I took a walk in the woods and then played a game of 3-13.  Jared won.  We both ended in the negatives.  We ate a late dinner and watched a Heartland.  

6/11/21

Our yard was littered with branches.  The woods had big branches down and a small cherry tree was down.   

 I took Jared to work this morning.  The boys worked with their sheep and then we headed to Vikki's house.  The kids played minecraft and watched a movie.  Vikki made a yummy salad for lunch.  We went to Melissa's house to get Vikki's clippers.  Had a nice visit with Melissa and the boys.  Vikki gave me a haircut.  Then I clipped her dogs nails.  We drank tea and sat on her porch swing.  We left around 3:45 to pick Jared up from work.  Went to the auto shop to pick up the van which got new brakes and shocks.  Jacob had a soccer game at 5:30.  We got there around 4:45 but due to lightning they kept adding 30 min delays.  Finally they decided to cancel the game.  There was a big thunderstorm.  Our house was without power for a few hours.  We went to Tim Horton's for coffees.  Adam's game started at 7:30.  It was such a fun game to watch.  They won 4-0.  

6/10/21

I took Jared to work this morning.  On the way we dropped off the van at the auto shop.  The boys worked with their sheep and then we headed to my parents house.  My parents are gone on a motorcycle trip up north but Vikki met us there.  Jacob and Vikki went to Menard's to take back the stepping blocks we'd picked up yesterday.  They exchanged them for some bigger round blocks.  We worked on putting those in the flower garden.  We all had a great time in the pool today.  It was a hot day.   Eli went home with Aunt Bippi to spend the night.  Adam had soccer practice at the park this evening.  Jared walked to the park after work.  Adam and his team played soccer golf and then they played World Cup.  We were going to stopped at McDonalds for McFlurries but they were closed due to a power outage.  We went to Culvers but the line was so long.  I went into Meijer and got some ice cream and mini m&m's.  At home I made shakes and added the mini m&m's.  They were yummy.  

6/9/21

 Eli, Jacob and I played Uno flip this morning. We went to Nana and Papa's house today.  We taught Nana how to play Uno Flip.  Vikki and the kids came over too.  Mom and I worked on edging her new flower garden.  The boys helped moved some big rocks from the woods to the new flowers garden.  We had alot of fun in the pool on this hot day.  We went to Menards to get some stepping bricks to put in the garden.  We met Jared at the soccer field for Jacob's practice.  Took Adam to youth group.  He was playing gaga ball when I picked him up.  At home we played a game of 3-13 with Jacob and Jacob won.  Jared and I were 1 point  apart.  I came in second.  

6/8/21

Eli was up first this morning and we played some games of uno.   The boys worked with their 4H sheep. We have Fyrne's lamb in the stall with the 4H lambs.  He jumped the fence while Jacob was getting his lamb so we had to catch him again after they were done.  This lambs brother is one who had flystrike.  Jacob and Adam went for a walk.  I shaved Wyatt.  Eli played with the kitty and with legos.  After lunch the boys and I played Uno flip.  Adam won both games.  Then the boys played minecraft and I took a walk in the woods.  I watered plants in the garden and in the flower beds.  Jared and I played a game of 3-13 and I lost bad.  Jared kept going out and sticking me with lots of points.  This evening the 4H leaders came over to tag sheep.  We had a nice visit with them.  After dinner we played the Kubb game.  

6/7/21

Adam and Eli were up around 8:00. Adam has started reading the Watcher's series again and Eli is reading his Wings of Fire books over.  I woke up Jacob around 10:00.  I packed up all our clipper and shearer blades to send them out for resharpening.  I also had some pottery pieces to package. We took them to them to the post office.  When we got back we played a game of 3-13.  There was a lot of talking during the game so it took awhile to finish.  Adam won. After the game the boys went out to work with their sheep.  The kitty sure loves running around the house.  The boys played minecraft with Nik, Peyton and Isaac.  I cleaned up the little greenhouse and packed it away. I started some Hollyhock seeds.  This evening Adam had soccer practice and Jacob had Covid testing.  After a while Pastor Scott had the team move several fields away so they could scrimmage.  The other end of the field they were on was being used.  When practice was done they went back to the field to get their  balls.  Adam and another kids soccer balls were stollen.  Bummer!  We ate a late dinner at home and watched a Heartland.
