Day 15

Playing 3-13

We were up by 7:00 and the boys were up around 8:00.  The boys got donuts from the campground host. After breakfast we took our morning walk. Adam found some rope at an empty campsite. We went over to Pebble beach to collect rocks to bring home.  Wyatt got away from Adam and was a happy puppy running off leash. He quickly came to Jared. The boys enjoyed skipping rocks in the water. After lunch we headed out with Grandma and Grandpa to hike the monastery trails. We had a great time.  On our way back to camp we stopped at the shop. Leslie made some super cute thing from parts of an old piano. Dennis got there with a couple totes of pottery. We helped him get them priced and put on the shelves. Back at camp we made grilled cheese and fried rice for dinner. After dinner we worked on packing up the screen tent. Dennis and Marsha invited us to their site for ice cream. While we continued packing Grandma, Grandpa Jacob and Adam played a game of 3-13. Adam won. We sat by the fire until around 11:00.

Day 14

Brockway Mountain

Wyatt whined a little this morning so Jared got up to take him outside. It was 6:30 so we got up for the day. It was cold last night but we stayed warm in the sleeping bags. Adam and Jacob soon were up too and we sat by the fire. Adam made a s'more. Then he and I took a walk with Wyatt and we found a bundle of wood. After breakfast we took another walk. Jacob stayed at the site to read. Adam and Eli rode around the campground with Dominic. We played a game of 3-13 with Grandma and Grandpa at their site. I won. After lunch we went to visit Leslie at the shop. After a little while we headed to Calumet for gas and coffee creamor. We also stopped at the store so the boys could get salt water taffy. I stayed out with Wyatt.  The boys loved telling me all the taffy flavors they'd picked out. A deer and her fawn ran out in front of us as we were driving. We then met Grandma and Grandpa at Dennis and Leslie’s so we could help stack a load of wood. We had the wood moving quickly in our wood fire brigade and were done in no time. Jacob and Eli got to the van and said,”that was fun!”  On our way back to camp we took a drive up Brockway Mountain. It was nice and cool up there. On the way down we stopped at the scenic lookout. Back at camp we started a game of 3-13 with Jacob. We stopped to make dinner. After dinner Jacob came for a walk with us around the campground. Adam was on his bike and Eli on the scooter. Back at camp we finished our game with Jacob. Then Grandma and Grandpa came over and we played another game. Grandpa won. Adam fell asleep in the tent.  We sat by the fire and took turns holding Wyatt. Adam woke up and came out to sit by the fire 

Day 13

It started raining about 5 am. We listened to the rain on the tent for a couple hours before getting up. Played a game of   3-13 with Adam.  Daddy won. Took a walk around the campground and found a bundle of wood. Had to save Jacob some pancakes because he slept in. Took another walk after breakfast and found another bundle of wood. The boys were reading in the tent. Eli had a tent made under his cot. Grandma and Grandpa came over and we played a game of 3-13. Daddy won again.  After lunch Grandma and Grandpa left for a drive. The boys went back into the tent to read. They like when Wyatt came in the tent with them. Jared and I played a few games of 3-13. He won one and I won the last two. We went in the tent and spent the next couple hours listening to Daddy read. It was nice being in the warm sleeping bag and listening to the rain on the tent.  It was around 50 degrees outside. We had salami and cheese and made pizza's for dinner. After dinner we took a walk with Grandma. Then we walked over to Lake Fanny Hooe. Wyatt saw a duck and went for a swim trying to get close to it. Adam said the water was warm so he went back to get into his suit and went swimming. Grandma and Grandpa came over to play 3-13. Jacob almost won but I took the lead in the end. We had lots of good laughs in this game. Adam and Eli went into the tent to read. Got to sleep around 10:45
