2/1/22

 Today I finished staining the back of the door and made many trips to the barn to check on the sheep.  I also sanded and painted baseboards and spackled.  I painted Eli's bedroom and put a second coat on later.  Jared put some trim around the door and then we worked on hanging the barn door.  We first hung it with the baseboard on the top but it left a gap in the door that we didn't want for Adam's bedroom.  We took it down and took off the trim.  Patched up the holes/. We hung it but now the bolts hit on the back.  We chiseled and drilled out the wood so the bolt heads could sit flush with the wood.  The house isn't level so the door rubbed at the top of the trim.  It was 2 am so we stopped and went to bed. 

1/31/22

 Today I worked on staining the barn door.  I also spackled and sanded.  When I fed the sheep this morning Blanch was laying down and pushing.  She got up to eat grain.  I checked on her very often today but no lambs.  I sanded and painted some trim wood.  This evening we put on a coat of primer on the drywall in Adam's room.  Eli helped with the painting.

1/30/22

I was up most of the night keeping an eye on the lambs. Every couple hours Jared and I took them out so Fryne wouldnt forget them. One lamb was strong this morning but the other was very weak. The weak lamb didn't end up making it.  Did some spackling on the new walls. Because the ceiling in our house is so low we couldn't find a barn door that fit so we built our own barn door.  I went out to check on the sheep and Blanch was pushing and a large part of her cervix was out. I called Jared who was at the store with Jacob. I called Adam's phone and he and Eli came out. Eli helped me get the prolapse harness on her. We watched Ice Age. We put the first couple coats of stained on the barn door. We checked on Blanch often. 

1/29/22

Today we worked on putting up walls and making Adam his own bedroom off of the kitchen where the loom sat. He really wants his own space. We made a few trips to Home depot and Lowes. We ordered a loft bed and Adam picked out a paint color. I sent Eli and Adam out to take care of the animals and Eli came back in saying there were theee lambs and he thought one was dead. It wasnt dead but very cold.  We brought them all inside to warm them up. Eli and I had the two weakest ones in a warm bath in the sink. The one Eli was working on died. We were exhausted by the end of the day. 

1/28/22

 Today Jacob didn't have to be to school until 1:00.  He slept in until around 9:00.  After school the boys helped me move the loom and clean out that area.  Adam went to the Meridian basketball game.  He got the time wrong so he didn't stay long.  Jacob and I played several games of Sequence. I shampooed the carpet in the room where we had the loom.  We are going to bed turning it into a bedroom for Adam.  

1/27/22

It was cold and windy outside today.  I trimmed mugs and made handles. I finished putting handles on and then hurried to check on the sheep.  I was driving down our road and called Jared because I had missed his call earlier.  I told him I was on my way to get Adam and he asked why.  I was leaving an hour early.  Jared had changed my clock in the pottery room so it now says the right time and I don't have to add an hour.  I went back home.  We watched the new Boba Fett show while eating dinner.  We played some games of Sequence and also played Minecraft.  

1/26/22

 It was a very cold morning.  The van said it was -7 degrees.  Adam started school online at 7:40.  During his lunch break we played several games of sequence.  He played some minecraft too when he got a break from class.  I threw small mugs on the wheel.  Adam and I played some more sequence until I had to leave to get Jacob and Eli.  Eli and I went out to the barn to take care of the animals.  We opened Bo's paddock to the big paddock.  Eli took him in the big stall in from the paddock and we fed him some hay in there.  The sheep are in the barn right now because they should be lambing soon.  Bo liked seeing the sheep and neighed at them.  Eli and I played some sequence.  We laughed because Eli kept forgetting to draw a card so he didn't have many to choose from.  Jared and I played a game when he got home.  Jacob had alot of homework and ate dinner in his bedroom while he continued working.  He is working on writing an essay. We watched a Heartland.  The boys wanted to watch a Boba Fett but Jacob didn't want us to watch it without him.  We played some miencraft before bed. 

1/25/22

 Adam had school online today.  We played a game of 3-13 and I won.  Adam was in the lead until the last round.  I worked on getting pottery pictures taken.  I took some pictures but the sun was too bright so I waited. After lunch it clouded up so the lighting was much better.  It was so cold out and windy.  My hands got cold pretty quick. I brought out the little pocket heater.  Adam and I headed into town so I could post picture to Etsy.  I didn't get them all posted before we had to head to Meridian.  Adam wanted to be dropped off at the high school so see could see some of his Meridian friends.  We went to McDonalds so I could use their wifi and get the rest of the pictures posted.  At home I worked on measuring all the pots and getting them put away in the cabinet.  After dinner we watched a Heartland.  We played some Minecraft before bed.  

1/24/22

 We unloaded the kiln this morning.  Adam has today off school.  We took Eli to school and the roads were slick.  We took our time and drove the back roads to Nana and Papa's.  Stopped on the way to get Adam a frappe mocha from McDonalds.  Got to Mom's around 9:00 and had a coffee.  I told Mom I had to leave this afternoon to get Eli from school because he had a dentist appointment.  Right away Dad offered to drive in his truck and get Eli for me.  He's so sweet!!  I was dreading driving those roads there and back again.  Nana, Adam and I played a game of 3-13 and Nana won.  I had the high score.  Adam got stuck in the last round.  Vikki and the kids came over.  We gave Nana's new kitty lots of attention.  Got to FaceTime with Kenzie.  Mom made homemade bread and we had fried egg sandwiches for lunch.  Yummy!  There was also leftover chicken noodle casserole.  Mom and Vikki came with me to Eli's dentist appointment.  We stopped on the way for cappuccinos from Tim Hortons.  While we waited for Eli we played Phase 10 together on our phones.  I was sure glad they came with me.  We had fun!  Eli had a baby tooth pulled and had no cavities.  Back at Mom's the kids played in the basement with the kitty.  We watched some Anne of Green Gables.  Nana made us popcorn when the video tape said intermission.  We stopped the movie because I wanted to make it  home before dark.  We stopped at McDonalds on the way home for shakes.  Nana said Eli forgot his instrument there and she was going to bring it to us in the truck.  Thanks you Nana!  The roads were still slippery.  We got home just after 6:00.  Jared had dinner almost finished.  He had picked up Jacob from school and they moved a new round bale in with the sheep. Jacob said he got a 39/40 on his physics exam!  He had a bunch of homework to work on so he ate his dinner in his bedroom.  We played some Minecraft with the boys.  The computer was lagging so it was hard to get on but it eventually worked ok.  

1/23/22

Stopped for groceries after church.  Had pizza for lunch and watched some tv.  Jacob worked on homework and then practiced his instrument.  He really likes his new mouthpiece.  His old mouthpiece was the same one but it had a small chip in it.  We played a game of 3-13 with Adam and I won.  Then Jared and I played and I won again.  Played some minecraft with the boys.  Had popcorn pop and ice cream this evening.
