9/1/21

 No delta classes for Jacob today so he didn't have to be to school until 12:30.  I  trimmed mugs and made handles. Jacob worked on school work and watched tv;  We played a game of bedwars.  I was waiting at the school for Eli to come out.  I saw him but he then disappeared behind the cars.  I thought he went back in the school for something.  After a long while I realized he was waiting by the school sign. He had seen the white van but didn't think it was ours.   Jacob and Adam wondered why I was so late.  After dinner we played a game of soccer with the boys.  

8/31/21

 Jared left this morning for work in Canada.  I dropped Jacob off at school around 6:30 and Adam and Eli at 7:40.  Today I threw mugs on the wheel.  I made 16 mugs.  The boys all had a great day today.  After packing lunches we played minecraft bed wars. Then  Jacob had some homework to do.  At 6:30 Jacob had to be to school for band practice.  I had forgot to bring my phone on the drive there.  When I got home  the boys said that Jacob had called.  He had forgot is lyre so I went back to school to take it to him.  The band was practicing on the football field.  Jared got home around 8:30.  We played some more bed wars with the boys.  Jared went to school to pick up Jacob.  We read to the boys and then watched Dick Van Dyke.

 The boys were up early.   Jared took Jacob to school because he wanted to be there at 6:30.  His bus leaves for Delta at 7:00.  Jared took the day off work today so we could spend our anniversary together.  We went to Tim Hortons for coffee's and muffins.  We drove by our old house on our way home.  Jared had to get covid tested at 9:00 because tomorrow he is working in Canada.  He also had to go to work to get a few things and picked up his rental car.  Today we took a drive around amish country.  We stopped at the gas station for drinks.  While driving on some back roads we passed a cute little greenhouse that had a clearance sign out.  We went in to look at the perennials.  We called Grandma for advise on plants to buy.  They only took cash or check so I had to make a quick trip to the ATM.  We got home and unloaded the plants by the new flower garden.  We set the pot around the garden and decided on where to plant everything.  We planted them and then I had to leave to get the boys. Jared had to make a quick trip back to work.  Adam and Eli had a great day.  Eli was happy to have Lane in his first class and Logan in a couple classes.  Adam said he was the only one that knew the answer to a question asked in math class.  Jacob said his day was ok.  He was so hungry because the Delta bus got back to school after lunch was served.  He didn't pack a lunch because he wanted to try the school lunch.  He didn't get anything to eat or drink all day.  We went to McDonalds and got him a chicken sandwich and a water.  He felt much better after eating.  Adam needed some things for art class and Jacob needed a graphing calculator so we picked those up today.  At home we played minecraft.  Jacob and Adam went outside to kick the soccer ball.  Jared and I played 3-13.  It was a close game but I won.  We went to Meijer to pick out cards to give each other.  We picked up Pi's chicken and rice for dinner and got pizza for the boys.

There was a thunderstorm durning the night with lots of lightening and loud thunder.  There were power outages in the area.  Thankfully ours stayed on.  After church we played minecraft with the boys.  Then we went to town to go school shopping and got groceries.  We had pizza and pop for lunch and watched tv.  We played some more minecraft with the boys.  It sure is fun playing all together.  We had popcorn pop and ice cream and watched tv until bedtime.

Happy Birthday Papa!!

There was a thunderstorm this morning.  Jared went to town for our Sat goodies.  We went outside and the boys helped us sink the post and get our new bell put in the flower garden.  We love it!  We played minecraft with the boys.  Then we headed to Nana and Papa's.  Jacob drove us and took the expressway. He did great!  We stopped at the store on the way.  Today we are celebrating Dad's birthday!  Mom had pizza's and yummy macncheese for lunch.  After lunch we sang happy birthday to Dad and had cake and ice cream.  Mom even had, my favorite, angel food cake with strawberries.  Yummy!  Vikki, Mom and I went for a swim and the kids came in too.  It was hot and humid today.  Mel and her family came over and we had a nice time visiting outside.  Later we heard thunder so Vikki and Melissa and their families headed home.  Mom, Dad, Jared and I played 3-13.  Mom won.  I had the high score.  There was a strong thunderstorm with a lot of wind.  After the storm Jared went out and found that our van door was left open during the storm. At home we played some more minecraft with the boys.  It sure was fun.  They've given Jared and I an area to build on their server world.  It's so fun that all five of us can play together.  The boys picked up branches in the yard and we unloaded the kiln.

The sky was a unique color this morning.  We could hear thunder and it started to rain.  The boys helped us haul pottery out to the barn to load the kiln.  We were able to fit all but a couple soup bowls.  Jared took the day off work today and we went to the amish auction.  The boys stayed home.    It was a nice cloudy day.  We bid on a few things and came home with an antique farm bell and a couple wooden crates.  We packed a lunch and got some homemade ice cream.  When we got home we played some minecraft with the boys.  Jacob had to be to school at 4:30 for marching band.  This evening we went to the football game. Jacob was probably the most energetic in the band.  He said someone asked him if he could share some of his energy.  Our teams best time of the whole game was in the last 40 second of the first half.  The score was 0-42.  In that last 40 seconds though we scored our only two touchdowns!  The score was 14-54.   Jacob lost his voice with all his yelling.  We stopped at the gas station to get him a drink and an ice cream treat.  We played minecraft bed wars with the boys before bed.    

8/26/21

I took Jared to work this morning.  Jacob had to be to school at 8:30.  They are taking the bus to Delta college and picking up their books.  This afternoon I started glazing pots.  Picked Jacob up at 11:30.  The only book he got was an ebook.  His English class is still to be determined.  He did get his Delta ID card and saw his classroom.  I played Minecraft with the boys.  We had fun.  We played bed wars and then played on their server.  I picked Jared up from work and we picked up his car from the auto shop.  Jared and I finished glazing pots this evening.  They boys each glazed a pot.  

8/25/21

Still no power this morning.  The boys all slept in the living room.  Jared’s car wouldn’t start so I took him to work.  This afternoon we went to Nana and Papa’s house.  Nana had yummy muffins and bagels.  We played a fun game of 3-13.  Jacob won.  Dad and I were fighting for second.  Dad came in second.  Nana and Adam had the high scores.  I sewed some jean shorts that ripped on Dad.   We went swimming and the water felt so nice.  It was high 80’s today.  We sure had fun in the pool playing with the squishy ball.  Nana, Eli, and I tried to keep the ball away from Jacob and Adam.  Papa was helping the older boys even though he wouldn't admit it.  Eli hid Nana’s angels again.  We left around 4:15 and picked Jared up from work.  Jacob had orientation this evening and got his laptop.  The boys gave Jared’s car a push started and we took it to the auto shop.  Jared and I played 3-13 by candlelight.  I won. Our power didn’t come on until almost 9pm.  

8/24/21

 Adam went to school from 9-2:30 today for high school orientation.  Jacob used the Dremel on some of his copper.  Eli played with the kitty.  I smoothed the bottom of all the new pottery.  I priced it and packed it in totes.  Eli and Jacob helped me cleaned out Eli and Adam's closet. They also dusted and vacuumed the house.  They played some jetpack and watched tv.  This evening Eli had to be to school to pick up his schedule at 5:00.  He tried his locker combination and found his classrooms.  We went to McDonalds for ice cream cones.  It was hot and in the low 90's today.  The line at McDonalds was long and slow.  We had to be back to the school for Adam at 6:00.  Eli stayed in the van with the air on.  We sat in the auditorium and listened to the principal talk.  Someone interrupted her and said there was a major storm coming.  Jacob had band practice from 6:30-9pm.  We stopped  to pick up Adam's computer after the meeting.  When we got home the power was out.  There was a firetruck on Stark near our road.  A tree had fallen on the power lines.  We got out the candles and started the generator.   We made porkchops on the grill and put fries in the air fryer.  

8/23/21

We got to the campground around 10:30.  From there we headed to Tawas.  Jacob rode with Nana and got a good nap on the drive there.  He was really tired.  Vikki and the kids rode in the van with me.  They watched the lego ninjago movie.  We walked around a few shops in town including the Ben Franklin store.  Then we walked out on the dock.  We drove to a nice park in Oscoda.  Nana picked up pizza’s and breadsticks for lunch.    After lunch we went swimming.  The water felt cool at first but we quickly got used to it.  We had fun playing catch with Nana's new squishy ball.  Jacob’s feet were getting cold so he got out to warm up on the beach.  He fell asleep on Nana’s beach blanket.  The kids had fun playing in the sand.  We saw some baled eagles in a tree by the road on our drive home.  Jared had dinner ready when we got home.  The boys played minecraft and we unloaded the kiln.  Then we played 3-13 and I won.
