4-30-18

This afternoon I got a roast carrots and potatoes in the oven for dinner.  Talked to Vikki and Mom on the phone.  Nik came over after school and the boys played on the sandhill.  Then the boys played their time on the computer.  After dinner we took a bike ride and then took a walk in the woods.  We relaxed on the swing and Eli caught a frog in the pond. Adam built a fire and then went to play with the hose in the sandbox. Eli held his frog and said, "Its nice to have a friend like this".   We watched a dick van dyke before bedtime.

After church we stopped for groceries and pizza.  After lunch Nik came over and the boys played on the sandhill.  Jared and I took a walk in the woods.  Adam got out the binoculars and looked for birds.  Jared saw a sharpshin hawk and pointed it out to Adam and I.  Jacob and Eli went over to play outside at Nik's.  Adam stayed home and we played stratego.  We took a bike ride and the boys played at Logan's house.  Adam built a huge tent on the back deck.  Nik came back and the boys played with nerf guns outside.  This evening we had popcorn, pop, and ice cream and watched Dick van Dyke.

This is our new puppy "wine collar!"  Can't wait to meet this cute little pup!

The boys watched Dick van Dyke this morning and  Jared went into town for Saturday goodies.  Darren and his family came over today to look at our pottery and they bought 5 mugs.  Their 3 year old daughter had fun seeing the cats and chickens and playing on the playground.  Then she came inside and shot the boys using the nerf jolt.  After lunch we headed into town for soccer games.  Adam had to be there at 1:15 and his first game started at 2:00.  They won 2-0.  His next game started at 4:00 and they lost 6-2.  Eli played at 4:15 and they won 5-0.  Very fun games to watch and a nice day for soccer.  At home we made sandwiches for dinner.  Then Nik came over to play on the sandhill until bedtime.

I took the day off work today and went to the freeland garage sales with my Mom and Vikki.  It was a  little rainy this morning but turned out to be a nice day.  We had a fun day together.  The boys had a half day of school today and Jared got out of work early.  Jared cleaned the chicken coop and tilled the garden.

Eli's new bike

After work I headed to Freeland to meet mom and Vikki so we could go to the Freeland garage sales.  Mom had been shopping since 8:00 and had found lots of deals.  I found a table saw for $35 and got Eli a bike for $5.  Also found a few shirts and legos.  Jared was home when the boys got off the bus.  He took Adam and Eli to soccer practice this evening.  I picked up Jacob from the soccer complex and headed to his practice with the Midland concert band.  At home Jared and I worked on cleaning up the table saw and Eli's bike.  Eli's bike just needed a new front tire tub.  The boys took a bike ride and we took a walk down our road.

4-25-18

Adam and Eli stayed home while I went to school to pick up Jacob from Jazz band.  We stopped at McDonalds for goodies on our way home.  Nik though that was a good idea when Jacob told him and he talked his dad into stopping too.  Jacob and Nik held up their shakes when they saw each other.  Nik came over and the boys played in the sand until dinner was ready.  After dinner they went back to play in the sand.  Jared and I got the pump set up and started draining the standing water.  We took a nice walk in the woods.

I stayed late at work today to do inventory with Linda.  Adam had soccer practice this evening.  Jacob and I played a game of 3-13 and Eli had fun playing in the tub.

4-23-18

There was a fatal car crash this morning involving friends of the boys.  The kids were on their way to school with their grandpa when they were rear ended.  Their Grandpa died in the crash and the kids are in the hospital.  I picked the boys up from from school around 2:30.  I dropped Jacob and Adam off at the dentist and headed to a Dr appointment with Eli.  Eli asked the dr if he could keep the paper blanket so he brought that home.  We stopped at Nana and Papa's for a couple hours.  Jacob and Adam worked on splitting wood for Papa.  Nana and I sat in the camper and visited.  Eli laid up in the loft bed.  Vikki and Misty stopped by for a little bit.  Jared was working on the trash pump and rebuilt the carburetor.  We ate a late dinner out on the deck.  Jared and I took a walk in the woods and the boys used their computer time.

We went grocery shopping after church.  Got pizza's from Little Caesars for lunch.  After lunch Jared and I spent a few hours cleaning and organizing the workshop and grain room.  Nik came over for a couple hours an the boys played on the sand hill.  Then the boys went to his house for an hour.  This evening we had popcorn, pop, and ice cream and watched the Apple Dumpling gang.
